The BSE benchmark Sensex Sensex today ruled above 20,000-level in a special trading session on the back of buying mainly in healthcare, metal, PSU and consumer durables sectors in view of sustained capital inflows from foreign funds.

Tata Motors has raised S$350 million (Rs 1,545 crore) through its inaugural Singapore dollar bond offering, at a coupon rate of 4.25 per cent. 

Eleven entities have been restrained by SEBI from buying and selling securities. SEBI passed an ex-parte interim order on Friday based on prima facie evidence that these entities were involved in synchronised trading in the stocks of Polytex India, KGN Enterprises and Gemstone Investments.

State owned IDBI Bank  reduced its retail short term deposit rates by 15-50 basis points in two maturity buckets including 91 days to six month and six month to 269 days. With this move, it became the first bank to cut interest rate after the Reserve Bank of India decreased the policy (repo) rate by 25 basis points to 7.25 percent.

Wall Street ends up, posts third week of gains 

The Dow and S&P 500 ended at record highs on Friday, and stocks posted a third consecutive week of gains as a rise in Google and other technology shares offset a slide in energy stocks.

Nasdaq led gains, boosted by a 1 percent rise in Google\'s (GOOG.O) stock, which also led the S&P 500\'s rise.

The yen slid to a 4-1/2-year low against the dollar on Friday, triggering a sell-off in oil and gold as well as safe-haven U.S. and German debt, after recent signs of strength in the U.S. labor market added to bullish sentiment on the dollar.
